Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1 box (16 ounces) Penne pasta

Sauce and Cheese Mixture

  • 2 jars (15 ounces each) Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 container (15 ounces) Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Protein

  • 2 cups cooked, chopped chicken

Topping

  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta well and return it to the pot.
  2. Mix ingredients: To the cooked pasta, add the Alfredo sauce, sour cream, Ricotta cheese, minced garlic, cooked chopped chicken, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Prepare for baking: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Add topping: Sprinkle the shredded Mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the pasta mixture.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the casserole is hot, bubbly, and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving warm. Enjoy your hearty Three Cheese Chicken Alfredo Bake!

Notes

  • Use store-bought Alfredo sauce for convenience, or make your own for a fresher taste.
  • Cooked chicken can be rotisserie, grilled, or leftover chicken breast.
  • You can add vegetables like spinach or broccoli for added nutrition and flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
  • Parmesan cheese adds a sharp, salty flavor that enhances the creaminess.
