Ingredients
Scale
Burger Patties
- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Assembly and Toppings
- 6 slider-sized hamburger buns
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Pickle slices
- Mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the burger mixture. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to keep the patties tender and juicy.
- Shape the patties. Divide the seasoned beef mixture into 6 equal portions. Form each portion into a small patty slightly larger than the slider buns, as the patties will shrink slightly during cooking.
- Preheat the grill. Heat your grill to medium-high, aiming for a temperature between 375°F and 400°F to ensure even cooking and a nice sear.
- Grill the patties (side 1). Place the burger patties on the hot grill, close the lid, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes without moving them, to develop a flavorful crust.
- Flip and add cheese. Turn the patties over and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Continue grilling for another 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers are cooked through to your preference.
- Toast the buns. In the final minute of cooking, place the slider buns cut side down on the grill to toast lightly until golden brown and warm.
- Assemble the sliders. Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Add a lettuce leaf, followed by the cheeseburger patty, then top with sliced tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
- Complete the sliders. Place the top halves of the buns on each slider and press gently to hold all ingredients together.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy these juicy grilled cheeseburger sliders warm with your favorite side dishes for a satisfying meal.
Notes
- To keep patties juicy, avoid overmixing the meat mixture.
- Adjust cooking time depending on your grill and preferred burger doneness.
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding a dash of smoked paprika or chipotle powder to the seasoning.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with your favorite melting cheese like American or pepper jack.
- Slider buns can be replaced with small dinner rolls if unavailable.
