Description

Brazilian Lemonade, also known as Limonada Suíça, is a refreshing and creamy lime beverage made with fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and ice. This vibrant drink combines tart citrus flavors with a smooth, sweet finish, perfect for hot days or as a unique treat.

  • 4 fresh limes, washed and cut into quarters
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes


Instructions

  1. Pulse Limes and Mix: Place the quartered limes, cold water, and sugar into a blender. Pulse the mixture for about 10 to 15 seconds just enough to release the lime flavor without over blending the peel to avoid bitterness.
  2. Strain Mixture: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing gently to extract the liquid and discard the solids.
  3. Add Condensed Milk and Ice: Pour the strained lime juice mixture back into the blender. Add the sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes.
  4. Blend Until Frothy: Blend for about 15 to 20 seconds until the drink becomes frothy and creamy.
  5. Adjust Sweetness and Serve: Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a little more sugar. Serve immediately over ice for the best fresh and frothy flavor.

Notes

  • Do not over blend the limes because the peel can make the drink bitter.
  • For a lighter version you can reduce the sugar slightly or add a little more water.
