Scale
Ingredients
- 4 fresh limes, washed and cut into quarters
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Pulse Limes and Mix: Place the quartered limes, cold water, and sugar into a blender. Pulse the mixture for about 10 to 15 seconds just enough to release the lime flavor without over blending the peel to avoid bitterness.
- Strain Mixture: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing gently to extract the liquid and discard the solids.
- Add Condensed Milk and Ice: Pour the strained lime juice mixture back into the blender. Add the sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes.
- Blend Until Frothy: Blend for about 15 to 20 seconds until the drink becomes frothy and creamy.
- Adjust Sweetness and Serve: Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a little more sugar. Serve immediately over ice for the best fresh and frothy flavor.
Notes
- Do not over blend the limes because the peel can make the drink bitter.
- For a lighter version you can reduce the sugar slightly or add a little more water.
- This drink is best served immediately while it is fresh and frothy.
